We pride ourselves on being an action-oriented group. Our private Facebook group is the best way to stay up on our activities, but we also send out a short email newsletter (usually just once a week) with information on how you can take action. You can subscribe here. We also meet as needed (floating day and location) to organize upcoming actions, though we’re not a big fan of meetings just for the sake of meetings.
Get involved as little or as much as you want. If you only have time to call our members of Congress every now and then, that’s fine. Every call helps! (And you can find all the contacts you need on our Resources page.) If you want to get more involved, consider joining one of our teams:
Steering Committee — Help drive Indivisible Tosa’s overall direction and build a large, motivated force of volunteers to defeat the Trump agenda and elect progressive candidates up and down the ballot.
Action/Events — Plan specific events or actions targeting our members of Congress, including phone call campaigns, town hall attendance, office visits, demonstrations and more.
Issues/Research — Track our federal and state reps’ committee assignments, schedule of appearances, sponsored legislation, upcoming votes, etc., so that we can stay ahead of the issues and plan strategic actions.
Communications — Manage Indivisible Tosa’s email newsletter, website, and Facebook/Twitter accounts, and work with the media to get coverage of Indivisible Tosa actions/events.
Voter Outreach — Get out the vote through voter ID, voter registration, canvassing, and other voter-focused efforts.
Group Liaisons — Reach out to like-minded groups (area Indivisible chapters and other grassroots groups) to coordinate activities for maximum effectiveness.
Logistics — Arrange our group’s meeting locations, dates and times, and also coordinate support (childcare, transportation, etc.) as needed for meetings and actions.
